“God, if I can’t have what I want, let me want what I have”

Photo taken @ The Pantheon In Roma :D
Sometimes we’re so obsessed with doing better in life that we lose sight of the things and the people that we are blessed to have. We should change our desires so we’re happy with what we have also… occasionally though- don’t want to lose ALL drive!
My favourite part of Rome was the Colosseum, standing in such a structure is overwhelming! This photo was takin in the depths of the Colosseum. I imagine if you were a Slave/Gladiator in those times, this would have been the last thing you would see before ascending to the Arena- a glimmering hope for survival… before being vigorously devoured by a Panther :|
I have been scarce from tumblr for quite a long time.. I am back now though :D
A couple weeks ago I went on holiday with friends to Rome, a gorgeous city with tonnes of history- I call it a giant museum. Loved the city, not a fan of the rude/unwelcoming people. This photo was taken at the St. Peters Cathedral, one of the biggest churches ever to be built… we got kicked out for this as we had offended them somehow. It’s funny, their gift shop sold lighters.. #imjustsayin

This photo was taken at Primrose Hill and given that I used to be a massive geek I obviously thought of Mortal Kombat as soon as I captured it… you know? Your soul is mine? So anyway it was quite a sunny day in the park so the sunlight gave me so many good shots that day, I played around my with settings and for this one I directed the camera straight at the sun and then upped my shutter speed and apperture to compensate, which gave me that smokey effect in the sky with the clouds. I used photoshop simply to accentuate the colour in the sky more and make the photo more bold.
This is one of my favourite photos I’ve taken, I took it in New York and shamefully I can’t remember where we were but I know we were en route to Central Park. I know it’s not a spectacular photo but I like all the natural colours and the clarity of the sky- such a relaxing pale blue (that we get here once a year); the photo looks like it was deliberately put together. New York is an amazing city and I cannot wait till I visit again, was only there for a week last time.. I think I need to spend about 6 months there preferable doing an internship… :D
